A \u0645\u0639\u062f\u0627\u062a \u062a\u0633\u0648\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u0635\u064a\u0641<\/a> connects two surfaces that are fundamentally different: a fixed warehouse floor and a vehicle that can change height, move unexpectedly, or leave the loading position.<\/p>

Every time a forklift crosses that transition, the dock leveler must support the vehicle and its load while maintaining a safe path between the building and the trailer.<\/p>

For this reason, loading dock safety is not only about choosing a platform with sufficient capacity. Buyers also need to consider platform movement, slip resistance, crushing and shearing hazards, trailer movement, maintenance safety, control systems and the regulations that apply in the destination market.<\/p>

For international buyers, this can become complicated.<\/p>

European projects commonly reference EN 1398, while U.S. facilities must consider OSHA requirements. U.S. buyers may also encounter ANSI MH30.1, a consensus standard specifically addressing dock leveling devices.<\/p>

The regulatory environment is also entering an important transition. EN 1398:2009 is currently listed by BSI as \u201cCurrent, Under Review,\u201d<\/a> while the EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023\/1230<\/a> will apply from January 20, 2027.<\/p>
