Buyers also need to consider platform movement, slip resistance, crushing and shearing hazards, trailer movement, maintenance safety, control systems and the regulations that apply in the destination market.<\/p><p data-start=\"1489\" data-end=\"1543\">For international buyers, this can become complicated.<\/p><p data-start=\"1545\" data-end=\"1757\">European projects commonly reference EN 1398, while U.S. facilities must consider OSHA requirements. U.S. buyers may also encounter ANSI MH30.1, a consensus standard specifically addressing dock leveling devices.<\/p><p data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"2016\">The regulatory environment is also entering an important transition. <a href=\"https:\/\/knowledge.bsigroup.com\/products\/dock-levellers-safety-requirements?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EN 1398:2009 is currently
